Welcome Home
The gated community of Wellington Lake was developed as a Planned Urban Development in 1999 by Spinning Spur, LLC. Homes sit on 1+ acre lots and allow for room to breathe, while still being close to town. Owners in this neighborhood have private wells, private septic systems, OEC electric, OEC fiber. Only 4 miles from the University of Oklahoma, Wellington Lake is close enough to live a city life in a natural area. Residents enjoy hummingbirds, eagles, hawks, heron, geese, ducks, and other wildlife. The pond is filled with bass, crappie, catfish, & bluegill. Residents are allowed to fish from the shore or launch their electric or man powered boats from the dock. Residents can enjoy the open area for soccer, football, and other recreational sports. There is a small basketball court near the dock. Residents enjoy walking and cycling around the neighborhood on the paved blacktops. Wellington Lake is community with a blend of families, both young and in their retirement years.
